Marina Papagayo is located 640 nautical miles Northwest of the Panama Canal at Peninsula Papagayo, in the ecologically rich province of Guanacaste, on the north Pacific coast of Costa Rica. The advanced technology and engineering of Marina Papagayo is perhaps its most significant advantage. With a new Shoremaster® Concrete floating dock system, boaters are afforded convenient docking and easy access to their vessels.

An extensive floating Attenuator ensures a calm environment within the marina basin, keeping the marina free from waves that would disturb watercraft while in port. Ultra wide docks provide a sense of open space. Generous slips and fairways were designed to accommodate today's newer, larger vessels, allowing easy maneuvering in and out of the marina.

VHF channels 16 and 23 are monitored. Upon entering Bahia Culebra head for N 10,38,21.5 W 85,39,20.3 Marina Papagayo is located approximately 4 nautical miles from the entrance of Bahia Culebra in the Northwest corner of the bay.

Maintaining a center line in the bay there are 10 fathoms of water on the approach to the marina with no obstructions. Red and green (lighted) channel markers clearly identify the entrance to the marina. Marina Papagayo is a deep water marina with an average depth of 20 feet.

Marina Slips

General and Yacht Slips

Marina Papagayo currently provides 180 slips accommodating vessels from 35 to 220 feet in length overall (LOA), with an average of 60 feet, to accommodate everything from mega yachts and sportfishers, coastal cruising yachts and double wide catamaran hulls. Minimum depth of marina berths is 12 feet.

Mega Yacht Slips

Marina Papagayo is Central America's first purpose built deep water mega yacht marina with 18 berths out of the current 180 accommodating vessels ranging from 80 to 220 feet LOA. Only a 30 minute drive or a short helicopter ride from the Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport in Liberia, this world class marina is an ideal mix of superb facilities and exquisite natural beauty.
