The Hotel is located just north of the Cabo Blanco National Park on the unspoiled southern coast of the Nicoya Peninsula. Milarepa is a romantic tropical escape, set amongst the rainforest and coconut palms at the foot of the Pacific Ocean. Our beachfront property offers spectacular ocean views and unforgettable sunsets.

The enchantment of Santa Teresa and Mal Pais, Costa Rica, is in our miles of perfect golden beaches, fringed to the high tide mark by lush trees and flowers with outcroppings of rock where natural tide pools form. Local wildlife includes tropical birds, iguanas, sloths, lizards and our resident howler monkeys.

If your idea of a perfect vacation is enjoying a relaxing massage, lazing about in a hammock with a good book, taking a romantic stroll down a gorgeous beach, swimming and surfing in a the warm Pacific Ocean, practicing yoga, enjoying delicious cuisine, sipping a refreshing sunset cocktail, or just lounging around the pool, then Milarepa is the vacation destination for you.

Milarepa's four private bungalows were designed to sit harmoniously within the surrounding jungle and beach environment. Primary building materials are bamboo and teak following tropical Asian traditions for a deceptively delicate charm not previously seen in Costa Rica.

Our bungalows are open to nature on all sides. The teak furniture is imported from Indonesia. The antique four-poster beds are curtained with voluminous mosquito nets and cooled by overhead fans. While being well distanced and private from its neighbors, the tiled en suite bathroom is partly open to the sky for showers under the sun or stars.
